1. Copyright Ownership

Upon acceptance and publication in IJIS, authors retain full copyright of their work. The journal does not require a transfer of copyright. Instead, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, archive, and promote their work in both print and digital formats.

This ensures that:

Authors maintain control over their intellectual property;
Authors can freely reuse or republish their work elsewhere with proper citation;
The journal has the right to make the article available to a global audience.

2. Licensing Terms

All articles published in IJIS are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated.

3. Author Rights and Permissions

Reuse content from their published article in future works (research, books, lectures, presentations);

4. Use of Third-Party Content

If a manuscript includes third-party content, authors must:

Obtain written permission from the copyright holder;

Submit permission letters at submission stage.

Failure to obtain permissions may result in delays, rejection, or retraction.

5. Publisher’s Rights

Non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article;
Right to promote the work through indexing, social media, and databases;
Right to include the article in special issues, proceedings, or digital collections.

6. Commercial Use and Reuse

Commercial use is permitted under CC BY 4.0, provided that:

Proper credit is given to the author(s) and journal;
Adaptations or modifications are clearly indicated;

7. Archiving and Preservation

IJIS archives all published articles in multiple repositories and formats. Authors are encouraged to self-archive in:
